Ms. Kazaire salutes NINGO partnership in the development of the country

On Thursday 26 2024, Ms. Judith Kazaire the Head of Civil Society and Political organisations Department at RGB praised international NGOs for growing with the country, and participating in its development strategies including NST1 and the upcoming NST2.

She made these remarks during the official launch of a 5-year strategic plan (2024-2029) of Network of International Non-Governmental Organisations in Rwanda (NINGO) held at Mille Hotel.

In her address, Ms. Kazaire saluted the work done by Internal NGOs and their partnership and collaboration with other private and government institutions in promoting not only social welfare of Rwandans but also the citizens’ participation.

“These organisations align their activities with the national development instruments meaning that as the vision of the country evolves, even these organisations go along with that” she said.

“The part of government’s choices of governance is strategic partnership to enhance transformation and to promote people's rights. We appreciate that International NGOs were able to promote community resilience and promote loverhood of the people of this country” she added.

As stated by NINGO’s Executive Committee Chairperson, Geoffrey Kayonde, among some of the key parts of the strategy, NINGO hopes to facilitate further investment in localisation, positioning local civil society organisations to increase their scope of operations and continue to demonstrate their leadership in development initiatives.

Network of International Non-Governmental Organisations in Rwanda has currently about 85 members.
