RGB Deputy CEO appreciates the RRA dedication in improving taxpayer service delivery

On 7th March 7, 2025 the RGB Deputy CEO Dr. Felicien Usengumukiza appreciated Rwanda Revenue Authority for its dedication to improving taxpayer services and fostering the culture of voluntary compliance.

The Deputy CEO delivered the remarks at the 3rd RRA Research Day themed "Enhancing Voluntary Tax Compliance Through Service Delivery". 

Addressing the participants, Dr. Felicien appreciated Rwanda Revenue Authority for organizing the research Day and for its unwavering commitment to improving tax administration through improved service delivery 

Referring to the findings from research on governance status in Rwanda, Dr. Felicien highlighted that the country’s achievements in promoting service delivery, particularly through the use of technology with the big number of services available online setting the foundation for digitally transformed economy.

“NST2 is primarily designed to improve incomes and wellbeing of the citizens by delivering the impactful results of which improving the quality-of-service delivery and enhancing citizen participation” he said

RGB is committed to fostering good governance, accountability, and citizen-centered service delivery. Our mandate encompasses the assessment, monitoring and promotion of good governance practices across public and private institutions. He added 

“Research and service delivery go hand in hand; whereas research provides the empirical foundation upon which effective policies and reforms are built, service delivery provides the venue through which these policies are delivered”. He emphasised 

The RRA Research Day aims at bridging research and policy through the exchange of information and ideas among researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
