On this Tuesday 4^th August 2026, the Deputy CEO of RGB Dr. Felicien Usengumukiza attended the Communication and Catholic Association for Communication (SIGNIS) World Congress which is being held in Kigali. SIGNIS World Congress is the highest global gathering of Catholic communicators and media practitioners.

In his opening remarks, the RGB Deputy CEO Dr. Felicien reminded the congress participants that they have a sacred task of transforming the internet and media into spaces of genuine encounter, fostering solidarity, and amplifying the voice of the marginalised.

“Here in Rwanda, we know the true power of storytelling and reconciliation. From our journey toward peace, we have leant that words and narratives have the power to destroy but also have divine power to heal, rebuild and unite” he said. 

“Our country appreciates that Catholic church and other Faith-Based communities became part of the journey and played a crucial role in many spheres of life including in healing and reconciliation by offering spiritual psychosocial and community support” he added.

Dr. Felicien stated that the Government of Rwanda through RGB reaffirms the commitment to strengthen the partnership with Faith-based organisations, locally, regionally and globally as to continue building the nation and globe defined by unit, prosperity and dignity.

He also urged the participants to take this congress as an opportunity to forge new partnership, learn from one another’s diverse culture and leave Kigali equipped with actionable, faith-driven strategies to shape the future of global communication.
