RGB hosts the 3rd Edition of Kigali Global Dialogue

From Monday 12 to 14 June, 2023, Rwanda Governance Board hosts the 3rd Edition of Kigali Global Dialogue which is being held at Kigali Marriot Hotel.

The 3 days conference was officially inaugurated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Hon. Dr. Vincent Biruta.

In his inaugural remarks, Hon. Biruta expressed thanks to the Observer Research Foundation, ORF America, Rwanda Governance Board, and the South Africa Brics Think Tank (SABTT) for co-hosting this remarkable conference.

He said that this conference is great occasion to reflect on contemporary issues of development and growth facing our world and discuss various opportunities that can be exploited to ensure we address these matters.

Today, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment in history, where urgent action is needed to protect our planet and ensure the well-being of its inhabitants. The five thematic pillars of this year's edition reflect the pressing issues that demand our attention and collective efforts” he said.

The Kigali Global Dialogue is more than just a conference; it is an opportunity for us to build the partnerships required to take new ideas forward. By engaging in meaningful dialogue and fostering collaboration across borders, we can create a better world for future generations. He added

The Chief Executive Officer of Rwanda Governance Board Dr. Usta Kaitesi who is also the co-chair of the conference appreciating the organisers of    Kigali Global Dialogue which she said will be an opportunity for participants to dialogue and debate on the best way to engage on things that affect the world.

The KGD provides an opportunity to convene, interact and deliberate on complex contemporary and dynamic matters of development and growth. Rwanda’s journey affirms the importance of dialogue, citizen–centric growth and the role of transformational leadership in confronting existential issues” she said.

The Kigali Global Dialogue is an annual platform that brings together policymakers, academics, civil society, and the private sector from around the world to deliberate and devise solutions to critical sustainable development challenges facing the global community.
