RGB presents its Annual Report to Parliament
On 20 October 2020, Rwanda Governance Board appeared before parliament, both chambers, to present its annual report for the fiscal year 2019-2020 and its action plan for 2020-2021.
The presented report covers the summary of activities conducted in the areas related to RGB’s mandate in the areas of governance research; Home-Grown Solutions; Political Organizations, Civil Society and Faith-Based Organizations; Media Sector Development; institutional development and Strategic Engagements.
The key highlights of this year’s report included the Rwanda Governance Scorecard 7th Edition; the Citizen Report Card 2020; service delivery assessments in public, private and Civil Society sectors; the status of Non-governmental organizations ( both national and international), faith-based organization as well as support to media sector development. The report also presented the financial contribution of civil society organizations through different projects implemented in different sectors in the fiscal year 2019-2020.
The plenary of parliament approved RGB’s report without objection. The report shall be further analyzed by related commissions both in the Chamber of deputies and the Senate.
The Law establishing RGB provides that it submits its annual report to The President of the Republic of Rwanda and to the Parliament, both chambers with a Copy to the Prime Minister's Office and the Supreme Court.
