RGB receives Liberian Parliamentarians
September 14, 2021: Rwanda Governance Board received a delegation of Liberian Parliamentarians who were in official visit to Rwanda. The Liberian Delegation was led by Dr. Bhofal Chambers, the Speaker of the Liberian Parliament.
Dr. Kaitesi Usta, the Chief Executive Officer of RGB, briefed them on the pillars of Rwanda’s Governance system that have been key in fast-tracking national development. She stressed that Rwanda’s Post-Genocide Government opted for Good governance founded on Unity, Security, Rule of law, fighting corruption Accountability, Inclusiveness, Citizen-centeredness, Home-grown Solutions as well as strong monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.
Dr. Usta Kaitesi also explained the mandate of RGB and organisational structure that help it to accomplish its mission. She also gave them an overiew on RGB's Governance assessment tools such as Rwanda Governance Scorecard, Citizen Report Card and Service delivery assessement as important tools that help to foster accountable governance in the country.
Dr.Bhofal Chambers, commended the governance system of Rwanda and affirmed that the visit of Liberian Parliamentarians to Rwanda has been fruitful as they were inspired by some Good practices that can be emulated in their country.
