On Thursday, April 27, 2023, Rwanda Governance Board held dialogue session for the 29^th commemoration of 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi which gathered the RGB Senior Management and staff.

During this dialogue session, a silent minute was taken to commemorate the Tutsis who were killed in 1994 Genocide against Tutsi.

Dr. USENGUMUKIZA Félicien, the Head of Research and HGS Department gave a presentation showing how the divisions based on ethnicity were taught in Rwandans and led to the 1994 Genocide against the Tusti.

Dr. USENGUMUKIZA explained all the steps and methods used in the preparation of the Genocide, which were also used in Rwanda by the government of Habyarimana and Kayibanda who planned and put in execution the Genocide against the Tutsis in 1994.

The RGB Secretary General Kalisa Edward said that those who are involved in teaching divisions among Rwandans no longer have the time and place to do so in Rwanda because the current National leaders have prioritized Ndi Umunyarwanda on the basis of good governance that is not characterized by any kind of divisionism.

Kalisa urged RGB staff to be examples in their local communities and fight against genocid ideology and any kind of hatred.

However, RGB staff vowed to give their contribution in fighting and denouncing the Genocide denials through all means.
